We regularly are asked by new clients “how often should I attend”. The answer varies based on many factors and this blog post will provide some insight.
To begin, the more you do Pilates, the more quickly and intensely you will feel the results. So, if you’re looking for rapid change, you’ll want to attend class 3-5 times per week. That being said, we all have work responsibilities, family commitments, budget constraints, other activities and (gasp!) the need to downtime. So if once per week is your best, we welcome that. You will feel results if you commit to any sort of regular attendance.
Our suggestion to all new clients about planning their schedule is to consider your goals and then decide what you can realistically commit to achieving. Then, when you come to class, turn off the rest of your life for 50 minutes when you get to the studio. Leave your phone in a cubby, put your watch on “do not disturb” and focus on the class. With every cue you hear, do the movements to the best of your ability and engage your muscles.
