1. Show up 5-10 minutes early to your first class so the instructor can introduce you to the Reformer! The machine moves which is what makes it so fun but also unsafe so it’s important to learn how to use the machine properly. It looks pretty intimidating at first but we promise you’ll get the hang of it!
2. Let the instructor know before class if you have any injuries. If an exercise hurts or feels wrong, stop and ask for a modification. When laying on your back, try to listen to the instructors cues instead of looking around and straining your neck.
3. Be patient with yourself. Over time, you will build connections, learn proper form, and know what feels good to your body. Right now, though, it’s all new, and it doesn’t have to be perfect. Just do your best and have fun!
